[ Regarding I-LDC ] 31 Jul 2006

To maintain complete support of Evanescence as well as their professional endeavors, I have removed all links / comments and whatnot revolving around talk about downloading / listening to songs that have not been officially announced by Wind-Up Records.
This is done in all due respect for both parties as well as the strive to continuously supply fans of Evanescence the right way. If this offends you, then I'm sorry. Please visit another page for leaks and the like, but the offer still stands to come here for other official news briefs, sneak peaks and releases.
Thanks to all that support this site as well as Evanescence. Let the hype continue!
In other news ... Wind-Up Records has unleashed an official 2 minute sample of `Sober.` Check it out in WMA or RM form on Ev's Official Page. |

[ `Evanescence's Amy Lee Isn't Afraid Of Big Bad Wolf In 'Sober' Clip` ] 31 Jul 2006
|
``Singer calls fresh material 'brave, aggressive and dark.'
Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee's not afraid of the Big Bad wolf. Nor is she afraid of a room filled with them.
In fact, in a clip for "Call Me When You're Sober," the first single from the band's upcoming The Open Door, Lee actually gets a little forceful with a "wolf."
"These live wolves came in, and they each had trainers and it was really fun," she said on the video's Hollywood set earlier this month. Marc Webb (AFI, My Chemical Romance) signed on to direct the clip. "I thought it was really cool, but then when they came in, they were 150 pounds. So I was like, 'Wow, if I got on all fours, I'd be about the same size as this huge animal.' But it was me and the wolves in the room, and it was all cool. It was awesome. My allergies kicked in, but I powered through. And then we shot the scene at the vanity with the Big Bad Wolf coming over my shoulders and trying to seduce me."`` ► Read More

[ `EVANESCENCE Completes Work On 'Call Me When You're Sober' Video` ] 31 Jul 2006
|
``EVANESCENCE's video for "Call Me When You're Sober", the first single from the band's upcoming "The Open Door" CD, will debut August 7 on MTV. According to MTV.com, the clip features singer Amy Lee wearing a red satin cape and sitting at an antiquated vanity. A young man — with crystal blue eyes and scruffy, overgrown facial hair and sideburns — approaches her from behind, caressing her shoulders and softly kissing her neck as she tries to rebuff his advances.
"The song is so literal, the lyrics and everything — I mean, obviously, just by the title — that we felt like the video would have the freedom to go in a less literal direction," she explained. "So it's [a modern re-imagining of] Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf and sort of a more cool, superhero, rock and roll Little Red Riding Hood."`` ► Read More

[ New Message Board Post from Amy ] 17 Jul 2006
|
For those of you who haven't checked EvBoard lately, here is some very important news from Amy.
``Hey everybody. We just had a killer couple of weeks filled with press, photos, and an incredible video shoot that I know youre gonna love. Things are going great and I'm really getting excited for the new album. Unfortunately, I have some sad news. A few weeks ago, Will decided to leave the band. He said that he just cant go through with another huge tour right now, and wants to stay a little closer to his family instead. Tour is hard- you kind of have to sacrifice your life for it, so we can all understand. We love Will very much and wish him nothing but happiness in everything he does. We've been playing music together since I was in jr. high. I miss him already! I love you guys, don't worry about the band- nothing has changed in the schedule and were all excited to get out there and play again. See you soon! love amy`` Good luck with everything in the future, Will. You're amazing.
If you'd like to support Will's latest project, please visit his new band's MySpace at http://myspace.com/twospines.

[ `EVANESCENCE: 'The Open Door' Track Listing Revealed` ] 06 Jul 2006
|
``EVANESCENCE: 'The Open Door' Track Listing Revealed
The complete track listing has been announced for EVANESCENCE's new album, "The Open Door", due on October 3 via Wind-Up. The band's second major label offering, "The Open Door" will follow up 2003's six-million-selling "Fallen". When asked to describe the sound of the new disc, singer Amy Lee told Launch it was hard to explain. "It's different than the last album, but it's still EVANESCENCE," she said. "I think the fans are really gonna love it. I'm a fan, I love this band, I wouldn't be doing it if I wouldn't love it, and I love it, so I guess that's sort of my gauge for everything. But it's different, it's kind of fun and sexy, but it's still, like, dark and, like, really epic at times."
"I think if people expect this album is going to be softer and more feminine and more wimpy, they're going to be surprised," Lee told JAM! Music. "It's not an album full of 'My Immortal'-like songs. Every song is completely different and I feel like at times it definitely goes heavier than we had the capacity to do before. But in a way that's still new and fun and unique and not trying to be like anything else that's out there."`` ► Read More
Well, there you have it, via Blabbermouth.net. The official track listing is up, and lyrics will be up once the album has officially been released. |

[ Mourningside News! ] 03 Jul 2006
|
For all of you avid Mourningside fans, I have some news for you from Jack himself.
``NEW SONGS!!!!!!!
Hello Mourningside fans! Our sincere apologies for taking so long to give you guys some updates. Things have been crazy with all the other projects we're involved with and we haven't been able to update as much as we'd like to lately. BUT... good news! In the last few months, we've been able to write a few new tunes for everyone to hear. We're very sorry it's taken such a long time but we only get a chance every once in a while to get work done although we wish we could have more. 2 brand new songs are waiting for vocals to be recorded and(should scheduling allow) more will come soon. We ask that you give us a couple of weeks to get these done and we'll have the new songs posted ASAP!!!!
Thanks for the lasting support!
