The fam's just finished their newest photoshoot while touring over in Europe and Japan, and Live Nation's wonderful concert reminder email gave me the goods.

VANCOUVER -- Amy Lee has the kind of fame, money and dark persona that would make it no surprise if she were a prickly, reluctant interview subject. In fact, it wouldn't be at all shocking to hear at the last minute that she'd cancelled an interview. It would be just the kind of diva behaviour you might expect from a Grammy-winning, multi-platinum-selling artist.

But the 25-year-old frontwoman of the goth-rock band Evanescence calls directly from her Montreal hotel room not a minute late, and doesn't seem to worry for a second about optics or her image. Asked how she's doing, she responds as if no one has asked her that simple question all day.

"Tonight is the first show of the tour. There's multiple stress factors pressing on me right now. We only had one day of rehearsal and there's a lot of new stuff going on," she says quickly and eagerly, in a tone that suggests she hasn't slept in days and, despite her experience, still suffers from opening-night nerves.

''Korn pushes back "unplugged" release. Singer celebrates birthday

Korn's release of its "MTV Unplugged" CD has been pushed back from February 20th to March 6th, according to Blabbermouth.net. The performance will still premiere online on February 10th and on MTV itself on the 17th. Taped at MTV's Times Square studios in December, the session features guest appearances by Evanescence singer Amy Lee and members of the Cure, as well as Korn's rendition of the Radiohead classic "Creep." Singer Makes Announcement During Interview On Canadian TV

(CBS) Amy Lee of Evanescence announced her engagement Tuesday during a taping of an hour-long special on the Canadian music network MuchMusic.

Noticing an engagement ring on the singer's finger, host VJ Devon Soltendieck asked Lee, "I notice there's a little — well, not little, it's pretty big. There's a little rock on your finger, and I'm sorry, I have to ask about it."

"I got engaged last night," the 25-year-old singer said.

Lee added that her fiancé got down on one knee. "It was awesome," she said.

A spokeswoman for Lee's record label, Wind-up Records, confirmed the engagement to The Showbuzz. Lee's fiancé is her boyfriend Josh, who does not work in the music industry. The spokeswoman did not release Josh's last name or age.

"She's unbelievably happy," Lisa Pieterse said, adding that the ring is "stunning."

Lee's fiancé popped the question while the band was in Toronto to perform at the Air Canada Centre.

The two have been dating for about a year. It will be Lee's first marriage.''

''EVANESCENCE Singer 'Not Doing This Forever' - Jan. 10, 2007

Launch Radio Networks reports: EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee told Jam! Music earlier this week that she can't see herself touring for her entire career. Lee said that being in a rock band is "pretty weird most of the time," adding, "I get tired of touring and want to go back and write. It's those two extremes that I get tired of. I'm not doing this forever." The vocalist told Launch that she has other ambitions in life, including making different types of music. "I want to move on into other fields later in life, definitely, but I'm not there yet," she said. "I would love to do musical scores for movies. I love scoring, so I'd love to do that. That would be fun. Like, if I ever wanna, like, when I'm old, be a mom and work at home, like, it'd be so awesome to just have a studio in my house and just work on scoring stuff. Not have to tour."

Amy got engaged to boyfriend Josh, a therapist, Monday evening (Jan. 8) while the band was in Toronto to perform at the Air Canada Centre.

The longtime friends have been dating for about a year. It will be her first marriage.

Lee, 25, said Josh, 28, got down on one knee for a traditional proposal. She broke the news by phone to mother Sara Cargill Tuesday morning.''

Ev kicked off their world tour last night, Friday, January 5th, in Montreal, where fans were treated to the live debut of "Cloud Nine" and "Your Star" from The Open Door. Look for Ev coming to a city near you.''
